Wellington Polo provides schedules, results & photos of the Fall Grand Champions Polo Club 2014 medium & high-goal polo season in Wellington, Florida.

The season started with the Tackeria Invitational and continues through early November with games at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida.

The Grand Champions Polo Club Fall polo season is a great way for players and teams to prepare for the upcoming 2014 high-goal polo season in Wellington, Florida. Rosters and lineups change from tournament to tournament with the goal of evenly matched teams to help build each player's skills and performance.

USPA 20-Goal North American Cup November 25-30, 2014

November 25, 2014: The 2014 USPA 20-Goal North American Cup at Grand Champions Polo Cub in Wellington, Florida gets underway with 2 semifinals scheduled for Tuesday's polo action.
-At 11am, Palm Beach Polo (Glenn Straub, Brandon Phillips, Jeff Hall and Tommy Biddle) vs Grand Champions Polo Club (Mariano Gracida, Alejandro Gonzalez, Guille Aguero and Roberto Gonzalez).
-At 3pm, Casablanca (Grant Ganzi, Kris Kampsen, Nic Roldan and Jeff Blake) vs Flight Options (Hector Galindo, Juan Bollini and two TBA's) will complete the 2nd semifinal.
The Final will be scheduled for Sunday November 30th at 3pm with the subsidiary final scheduled earlier in the day at 1pm.

Flight Options Wins USPA National 20 Goal Championship November 20-23, 2014
November 23, 2014: Flight Options defeated Team USPA 14-13 in a very closely played match. Nic Roldan was named the MVP of the final and 'Zorrito' owned by Halo Polo was awarded the Best Playing Pony of the final in the 2014 National 20 Goal Championship.

Nov. 23, 2014 Flight Options (Nic Roldan, Melissa Ganzi, Kris Kampsen & Juan Bollini) wins the 2014 USPA National 20-Goal Championship at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, FL.


Nov. 23, 2014 'Zorrito' played by Jesse Bray & owned by Halo Polo was awarded the Best Playing Pony of the 2014 USPA National 20-Goal Championship at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, FL.


Nov. 23, 2014: Flight Options vs Team USPA polo action, Nic Roldan (MVP) sending the ball towards goal in the 2014 USPA National 20-Goal Championship final at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, FL.

November 21, 2014: Grand Champions Polo Club's high-goal action continued Friday with semifinal action at 11am & 3pm. The 1st game of the day at 11am featured the semifinal match with Flight Options defeating Casablanca. Team USPA defeated Audi (defending champions) in the 2nd semifinal, advancing to Sunday's final to play against Flight Options.

November 20, 2014: Grand Champions Polo Club's high-goal action got underway with the 1st game in the USPA National 20-Goal Polo Tournament. Team USPA edged out Palm Beach Polo & Hunt Club in Thursday's action at Grand Champions Polo Club, with a 9-8 win that had gone into Overtime. Team USPA faces Audi in Friday's semifinal action scheduled for 3pm.

Casablanca Takes the 2014 Palm Restaurant Invitational

November 16, 2014 Grand Champions Polo Club Update:

4 Teams competed in the 2014 Palm Restaurant Invitational which got started at the Grand Champions Polo Club Thursday Nvember 13, with a 2nd game played Friday November 14 determining Sunday's finalists.

  • In the subsidiary final for the Palm Restaurant Invitational, Team USPA defeated Palm Beach Polo 13-12.
  • In the second game of the day, the final of the Palm Restaurant Invitational, Casablanca maintained an early lead to defeat Palm Beach Equine 13-8. MVP was Jeff Hall, Best Playing Pony was Rhapsodia, a black mare played by Grant Ganzi, owned by Halo Polo.
  • In the 3rd final of the day, the 2014 Pedro Morrison Memorial, CT Energia defeated Flight Options, winning score 10-5. Nic Roldan was MVP and Marco Polo, the stallion played by Marc Ganzi & owned by Halo Polo was Best Playing Pony.
November 14, 2014 (Friday): Games continued in the Palm Restaurant Invitational on Friday with Palm Beach Equine (Gene Goldstein, Kris Kampsen, Jeff Blake and Scott Swerdlin) defeating Team USPA (Jared Sheldon, Patrick Uretz, Mason Wroe, Jesse Bray, Felipe Viana and Will Tankard), final score 9-8.

November 13, 2014 (Thursday): The Palm Restaurant Invitational got started Thursday with Casablanca (Grant Ganzi, Leo Mandelbaum, Jeff Hall and Julio Gracida) defeating Palm Beach Polo (Melissa Ganzi, Guille Aguero, Juan Bollini and Glenn Straub), 11-9 the final score.

CT Energia Captures the 2014 Pedro Morrison Memorial


November 16, 2014: In Sunday's final of the 2014 Pedro Morrison Memorial, CT Energia (Marc Ganzi, Alessandro Bazzoni, Nic Roldan & Carlitos Gracida) defeated Flight Options (Melissa Ganzi, Guille Aguero, Juan Bollini & Wes Finlayson), winning score 10-5. November 2, 2014:
Aspen Valley Polo Club took down CT Energia by just a narrow margin with a 10-9 win in Sunday's USPA Fall Plates final at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Brandon Phillips was named the MVP scoring 7 of the 10 goals leading to Aspen Valley's win and Halo Polo's stallion 'Marco Polo' played by Marc Ganzi of CT Energia was awarded the Best Playing Pony.

Nov. 2, 2014: Aspen Valley (Roberto Gonzalez, Brandon Phillips, Gene Goldstein & Wes Finlayson) raise the USPA Fall Plates Trophy in victory.

Flight Options downed CT Energia 7-6 in the Final of the USPA Fall Classic with 'Catina Mama', played by MVP Guille Aguero & owned by Halo Polo, being selected as the Best Playing Pony of the final. October 17, 2014: Excessive rains in Wellington postponed a Thursday start of the Kay Colee Memorial, but with beautiful weather the fields dried quickly, allowing the polo tournament to start Friday morning with Flight Options (Melissa Ganzi, Jessie Bray, Juan Bollini & Julio Gracida) defeating Newport (Gene Goldstein, Leo Mendelbaum, Roberto Gonzalez & Brandon Phillips) 13-10.
The Afternoon game completed the 1st round with Audi/Palm Beach Equine (Marc Ganzi, Scott Swerdlin DVM, Nic Roldan & Carlitos Gracida) defeating Casablanca (Grant Ganzi, Juancito Bollini, Guille Aguero & Wes Finlayson) 14-11.
