Wellington Polo covers the USPA 26-goal C.V. Whitney Polo Cup being played
during the high-goal polo season at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida. This is the 1st of the three 26-goal tournaments, the highest rated polo tournaments played in North America and is a single-elimination format. 8 teams were entered and Valiente was the winner of the final, defeating Orchard Hill Sunday March 2, 2014.


March 2, 2014: Valiente wins the USPA 26-goal C.V. Whitney Cup final, defeating Orchard Hill 12-8. Santi Torres of Valiente was presented with the Most Valuable Player Award; 'Boeing' owned by Bob Jornayvez and played by Adolfo Cambiaso was awarded the Best Playing Pony Award. Earlier in the day, Flight Options (Grant Ganzi replacing Melissa Ganzi) defeated Audi 11-10 in the 26-goal Les Armour Subsidiary Cup played at International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. February 27, 2014: In the USPA 26-goal C.V. Whitney Cup semifinals, Orchard Hill defeated Crab Orchard 14-13 (February 26, 2014) in OT and Valiente defeated the defending champions, Alegria 13-11 (February 27, 2014). Orchard Hill and Valiente advance to Sunday's March 2, 2014 final played at 3pm on the IPC Field #1.
Audi vs Flight Options in the 26-goal Les Armour Subsidiary Cup played Sunday at Noon.

February 21, 2014: Orchard Hill, Crab Orchard, Valiente & Alegria (defending champions) win their quarterfinal matches and advance to the semifinals scheduled for Wednesday & Thursday, February 26 & 27, 2014 at IPCPB.

Crab Orchard defeated Flight Options 14-10
Valiente defeated Audi 11-9
Alegria defeated Coca-Cola 11-8
