Whitney Cup is played as a single-elimination format and is the 1st of the Triple Crown 26-goal tournaments, the highest rated polo tournaments played in North America. 3 teams are entered in this fast-paced tournament with Orchard Hill the 2015 & 2016 defending champions.

March 5, 2017: Valiente takes the win over Orchard Hill in the 26-goal C.V. Whitney Cup final at IPC with the final score 14-11. A truly exciting game on a super windy day gave spectators just what they have come to expect as the world's top players competed with each other. Matias Zavaleta of Valiente was awarded the MVP for his outstanding plays contributing to Valiente's win and 'Sugar' played by Adolfo Cambiaso & owned by Valiente was presented with the Best Playing Pony honors.


The Valiente Team: Adolfo Cambiaso, Diego Cavanagh, Bob Jornayvez & Matias Torres Zavaleta with the C.V. Whitney Perpetual Trophy at IPC.
