Wellington Polo brings you photo coverage, team details, the schedule and results of the 2017 USPA 26-goal Gold Cup polo tournament. This is the 2nd tournament of the U.S. Triple Crown Polo Tournaments. Four Teams have entered this prestigious polo tournament, played annually at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Valiente defeated Coca-Cola 9-6 in a very exciting final on Sunday March 26th, 2017. Adolfo Cambiaso was named the MVP and 'Chocolate' played by Adolfo Cambiaso was awarded the Best Playing Pony honors. Without a doubt, the Coca-Cola polo team played an impressive game, their new well-known coach, Memo Gracida has been a valuable addition to their team. Coca-Cola will certainly continue to make impressive strides into the upcoming U.S. Open tournament.

March 22, 2017 - Semifinals:

Coca-Cola and Orchard Hill faced each other in a super exciting semifinal match for the 1st spot in the Gold Cup finals. A few times the Orchard Hill team had the lead by a few goals but the un-relentless strategy and skills of the Coca-Cola team kept coming back with equalizing scores to inevitably send the game into sudden-death overtime. The game would be won by a penalty against the Orchard Hill team allowing Coca-Cola to move on to Sunday's 3pm final at IPC.



Julio Arellano makes an incredible save within inches of the goal, and keeping the Orchard Hill team from scoring.



March 19, 2017:

Valiente and Orchard Hill took to the IPC field 5 under gorgeous blue skies and giving everyone the true taste of fast-paced polo. It would be Valiente with the win.



Coca-Cola and Audi met up in the 2nd match on the Engel & Volkers field and what started out as a close match became a run-away for Coca-Cola taking the win from Audi.

March 12, 2017:

Orchard Hill and Audi faced each other in the 2nd game of the day, giving spectators one of the most exciting featured matches of the season. A tied game most of the match with Facundo Pieres taking the ball straight to goal in the final throw-in and remaining seconds of the game to break the tie and give Orchard Hill the win.


Valiente took the opening win of the 2017 USPA Gold Cup, defeating Coca-Cola in a nail-biting finish as both teams played a neck-and-neck game.
