The Zacara Polo Team defended their title by defeating Valiente & winning the final on April 21st, which concluded the high goal polo season played at IPCPB in Wellington, Florida. Adolfo Cambiaso and the unbeaten Valiente team will once again play Zacara (the defending champions) Sunday April 21, 2013 at 3pm in the Final of the 26-goal USPA Maserati 109th U.S. Open Polo Championships at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida.

April 21st, 2013: Sunday is the the final of the USPA 26-goal Maserati 109th U.S. Open Polo Championships to start at 3pm on the International Field of the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida. Playing are the defending champions Zacara, vs the unbeaten Valiente Polo Team.

April 18th: In the 26-goal Hall of Fame Cup (Subsidiary) final that was played Thursday at 4pm, Faraway defeated Piaget 11-10 in OT.

26-goal Maserati 109th US Open Polo Championships at
the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida.


April 17, 2013:  Valiente was the first team to advance to the final, defeating Coca-Cola 14-8 in the Semifinals of the USPA 26-goal Maserati 109th US Open Polo Championships. Zacara defeated ERG 11-10 in OT in the following semifinal match, advancing to Sunday's final for a repeat Cambiaso / Facu play-off with 2 very well-put together teams - Valiente / Zacara, to back them up on the IPC Field 1 / Main Stadium at 3pm in Wellington, Florida. You will need tickets for the Final but you can get them in advance from the IPC website.

April 14, 2013: Zacara, ERG, Valiente & Coca-Cola, defeating their opponents in the quarterfinals, advance to the semifinals of the 26-goal Maserati 109th US Open Polo Championships played this Wednesday April 17th at 2pm & 4pm at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Plenty of rain took over the fields of Wellington the previous day on Saturday so Sunday game times were rescheduled. Zacara was the first team to advance to the semifinals defeating Audi in the first quarterfinal polo game played at noon. ERG defeated Alegria at the 3pm polo game held at field Lechuza Caracas. The featured match of the week was rescheduled to 4pm at the main stadium where Valiente defeated Orchard Hill and at 5pm, Coca-Cola played Lechuza Caracas at the IPC field 5 to advance the winners of the last quarterfinal polo match of the day.

April 7, 2013:
A Win for ERG who defeated Audi 11-10 in Sunday's noon game. In the 3pm Featured match of the week, Valiente came out on top, defeating Zorzal Winery in OT 13-12. MVP award went to Fred Mannix, patron of Zorzal and Mariano Gonzalez's mare Meaghan was awarded the Best Playing Pony award presented by guest celebrity Bo Derek along with John Corbett.

April 6, 2013: Lechuza Caracas & Zacara were the winners of Saturday's 2 games defeating Orchard Hill and Faraway respectively.

March 31, 2013: 3 Games played on Easter Sunday - we covered 2 of them - Audi vs Zorzal-Winery & Zacara vs Orchard Hill.
In the 3pm featured match of the week, Zacara defeated Orchard Hill who had taken an early lead through the first half only to be overtaken by the Zacara team who seemed to wake up after their half-time break. 

The Opening ceremonies of the 3pm game were a special treat as the well-known Hampton sisters, Liz & Ann Callaway sang a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem to a crowd of spectators.

Earlier in the day, IPC hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for children of all age groups and a hat contest during the champagne halftime divot stomp which allowed the adults their own version of fun.
A
t the Noon game, Audi defeated Zorzal in OT with the winning goal by Jeff Hall. A fast & furious game with both teams providing lots of polo action back & forth across the IPC field.
